Coins are the primary, everyday currency. You will earn them through regular operations like serving guests, completing daily tasks, and selling goods at your resort. They are used for standard upgrades, purchasing furniture, and restocking supplies.

Gems are the premium, harder-to-find currency. They are used for special, high-impact purchases such as unlocking exclusive cosmetic items, speeding up construction timers, and acquiring rare blueprints. You cannot buy Gems with real money; they must be earned through gameplay achievements and exploration.

How to Earn Coins

Earning a steady flow of Coins is the foundation of your resort's success. Here are the most reliable methods to keep your coffers full.

• Serve Guests: The most consistent source of income. Fulfill guest requests for food, warmth, and entertainment to earn Coins with each satisfied customer.
• Complete Daily Tasks: Check your task board each in-game day. These simple objectives, like "Chop 5 logs" or "Serve 10 meals," offer a quick Coin bonus.
• Sell Crafted Goods: Once you unlock crafting, you can create items like warm blankets or carved trinkets. Selling these at your resort's shop provides a significant coin influx.
• Rescue Climbers: Successfully rescuing stranded climbers from the mountain paths not only progresses the story but also rewards you with a lump sum of Coins.

How to Earn Gems

Gems are a rarer resource, but they are plentiful if you know where to look. They reward exploration and mastery of the game's systems.

Best Spending Strategies

Knowing what to prioritize with your hard-earned currency can dramatically accelerate your progress. A strategic approach prevents wasteful spending.

For Coins, your first priority should be upgrading your core facilities: the kitchen, the fireplace, and the guest rooms. These directly impact your guest satisfaction and daily coin generation. Avoid buying decorative items early on.

For Gems, the most efficient use is saving them for blueprint unlocks. These blueprints allow you to craft high-value goods or build unique facilities that cannot be obtained any other way. Avoid using Gems to speed up timers unless you are stuck on a critical story mission.

Common Currency Questions

Can I lose my Coins or Gems? No. There are no mechanics that cause you to lose currency. You can spend them unwisely, but you will never have them stolen or deducted by events.

Is there a way to convert Coins into Gems? Not directly. The two economies are separate. However, spending Coins to upgrade your facilities will allow you to attract higher-tier guests, who are more likely to offer Gem rewards for their requests.

What happens if I run out of Coins? You will not be able to purchase supplies or start new upgrades. Focus on serving your current guests and completing daily tasks to build your funds back up. You can also sell unneeded items from your inventory for a small coin return.
