Understanding the Crownseeker Settings Menu

Crownseeker is a free-to-play survival RPG that blends strategy and action across a fog-shrouded world. To fully enjoy hunting relics by day and night, you need to fine-tune your settings. The settings menu is accessible from the main menu or by pressing Esc during gameplay. It is divided into several tabs: Video, Audio, Gameplay, Controls, and Accessibility. Each section allows you to adjust the game to your hardware and personal preferences. Whether you are on a high-end PC or a lower-spec machine, the right settings can mean the difference between a smooth survival experience and a frustrating one.

Video Settings: Balancing Performance and Visuals

The Video settings tab is where you can control the graphical fidelity of Crownseeker. Since the game features a dynamic day-night cycle and dense fog effects, finding the right balance is crucial. Below are the key settings and our recommended configurations.

Display Mode and Resolution

• Display Mode: Choose between Fullscreen, Windowed Fullscreen, and Windowed. For the best performance and lowest input lag, select Fullscreen. Windowed modes can reduce performance slightly due to desktop compositing.
• Resolution: Set this to your monitor's native resolution (e.g., 1920x1080). Lowering the resolution can boost FPS significantly but will make the image blurry.
• Refresh Rate: Ensure this matches your monitor's maximum refresh rate (e.g., 144Hz, 60Hz). Crownseeker will automatically detect it, but double-check to avoid unnecessary frame capping.

Graphics Quality Presets

Crownseeker offers several presets: Low, Medium, High, and Ultra. If you are unsure where to start, use the Auto-Detect feature. However, we recommend the following manual tweaks:

• Texture Quality: Set to High if you have 4GB+ VRAM. This setting has a low performance impact and greatly improves visual clarity.
• Shadow Quality: Set to Medium or Low. Shadows are resource-intensive and less critical during fast-paced relic hunts.
• Fog Quality: Set to Medium. Since fog is a core visual element, lowering it too much can reduce visibility. Medium offers a good balance.
• Anti-Aliasing: Use TAA (Temporal Anti-Aliasing) for a smooth image. If you prefer sharpness, FXAA is lighter on performance.
• Post-Processing: Set to Low to disable motion blur and depth of field. These effects can be disorienting during combat.

Audio Settings: Staying Alert in the Fog

Audio cues are vital in Crownseeker. The sound of a nearby relic or the growl of a hidden creature can save your life. The Audio settings tab lets you control the volume of different sound channels.

• Master Volume: Set to a comfortable level (70-80%).
• Music Volume: Lower to 30-40%. The ambient music is atmospheric, but you do not want it to mask important sound effects.

Controller Support

Crownseeker has full controller support. To use a controller, simply plug it in before launching the game. The game will automatically switch to controller prompts.
