Pink Slip Hearts Weapons Guide: All Tools & Their Uses

Weapon Overview in Pink Slip Hearts

In Pink Slip Hearts, you play as a CPO navigating a brutal corporate purge. While the game is primarily a romantic visual novel, several key scenes allow you to use or acquire weapons that directly influence dialogue, relationship paths, and even which ending you unlock. These items are not for combat in the traditional sense—they are tools of intimidation, protection, or persuasion. Understanding each weapon's context and availability is crucial for players aiming to explore every branch of the story.

This guide covers all weapons that appear in the game, how to obtain them, and their narrative impact. For a broader look at game mechanics, check our Mechanics Guide.

Tear Gas Pen

The Tear Gas Pen is a discreet device disguised as a writing instrument. It appears early in the story during a tense one-on-one meeting in your office.

How to obtain: During Chapter 2, when a former colleague corners you in the parking garage, choose the dialogue option "I came prepared." This triggers a brief scene where you reveal the pen from your jacket pocket.

Effects: Using the Tear Gas Pen ends the confrontation immediately without physical harm. This choice impresses the character Lena, who values resourcefulness, and slightly decreases trust with Maya, who prefers direct confrontation. It also locks you out of the "Escalation" achievement path.

If you miss this opportunity, the pen does not reappear in later chapters. For more on character relationships, see our Romance Guide.

Stun Baton

The Stun Baton is a more aggressive tool, found in the security office during Chapter 4. It is a high-voltage device capable of incapacitating a target for several minutes.

How to obtain: In Chapter 4, when you are asked to investigate a disturbance on the 12th floor, search the security desk drawer instead of immediately heading to the elevator. The game will prompt you to "Take the baton."

Effects: The Stun Baton can be used in two critical moments:

  • Against a hostile intruder in the server room (Chapter 5).
  • To threaten a corporate spy during a negotiation scene (Chapter 6).

Using the baton aggressively increases your "Hardliner" reputation, which influences the ending where you enforce the layoffs without compromise. It also unlocks a unique dialogue with Sofia, who respects decisiveness but fears your potential for violence.

Note that using the Stun Baton on the intruder in Chapter 5 will permanently close the "Peaceful Resolution" path. If you are aiming for a specific ending, plan accordingly.

Glass Shard

The Glass Shard is an improvised weapon that becomes available only if you fail a certain relationship check. It represents a desperate fallback option.

How to obtain: In Chapter 7, if your relationship with all three heroines is below 30 points, a scene triggers where you accidentally break a glass table in a fit of frustration. You can then choose to "Pocket a shard."

Effects: The Glass Shard is used only once, in the final confrontation of Chapter 8. It allows you to threaten a security guard to escape a locked room. This action leads to the "Lone Wolf" ending, which is considered the most isolated outcome. The shard cannot be used for any positive relationship gains.

This weapon is a narrative safety net for players who have mismanaged their social links. For tips on balancing your relationships, refer to our Beginner Tips.

Corporate Blackmail File

The Corporate Blackmail File is not a physical weapon but a digital arsenal. It contains sensitive information on board members and rivals.

How to obtain: In Chapter 3, during a late-night session on your company laptop, you discover an encrypted folder. Successfully cracking the password (a simple puzzle involving dates) grants you access to the file.

Effects: You can use this file in two ways:

  • Reveal it publicly during a board meeting (Chapter 6) to discredit a rival. This increases your "Mastermind" reputation and unlocks the "Corporate Puppeteer" ending.
  • Leak it anonymously to the press (Chapter 7) to destabilize the company. This leads to a chaotic ending where the company collapses.

The file is also a key item for unlocking a secret scene with Maya, where she admits her own vulnerabilities. For more on story branches, see our Endings Guide.

The Company Car (Unconventional Weapon)

While not a traditional weapon, the company car can be used as a tool of intimidation or escape in specific scenes.

How to obtain: You have access to the car from the start of the game. It is your primary means of travel between story locations.

Effects: In Chapter 5, you can choose to "Drive aggressively" to cut off a pursuing vehicle. This action impresses Lena but frightens Sofia. Alternatively, in Chapter 8, you can use the car to block an exit, preventing a key character from leaving. This choice is critical for the "Protector" ending.

The car's utility is tied to your driving choices, which are presented as quick-time events. Failing these events results in a minor setback but does not end the game.

Hardliner Path

Use the Stun Baton and aggressive driving. Unlocks the ending where you enforce the layoffs without mercy.

Mastermind Path

Use the Corporate Blackmail File and strategic dialogue. Unlocks the ending where you control the board.

Lone Wolf Path

Use the Glass Shard and isolation choices. Unlocks the ending where you escape alone.

Weapon Comparison Table

The table below summarizes each weapon, its chapter of availability, and the primary reputation it affects.

  • Tear Gas Pen: Chapter 2, increases Resourceful reputation
  • Stun Baton: Chapter 4, increases Hardliner reputation
  • Glass Shard: Chapter 7, only for Lone Wolf ending
  • Corporate Blackmail File: Chapter 3, increases Mastermind reputation
  • Company Car: Always available, affects Protector and Hardliner paths

Final Tips for Weapon Usage

To make the most of your arsenal in Pink Slip Hearts, keep these points in mind:

  • Plan your ending early. Each weapon is tied to a specific reputation path. Decide which ending you want by Chapter 3 and choose your weapons accordingly.
  • Weapons do not carry over. Once a chapter ends, you cannot go back to retrieve a missed weapon. Save often.
  • Relationships matter. Using a weapon can boost or damage your standing with each heroine. Balance your choices to avoid locking yourself out of desired romance routes.

Can I use multiple weapons in one playthrough?
Yes, you can collect and use multiple weapons. However, some choices are mutually exclusive. For example, using the Tear Gas Pen in Chapter 2 prevents you from accessing the Stun Baton's aggressive path later, as the story adjusts based on your earlier non-violent approach.

What happens if I never use any weapon?
You can complete the game without using any weapon. This leads to the "Diplomat" ending, where you rely entirely on dialogue and negotiation. This path requires high relationship scores with all three heroines.

Are there any hidden weapons?
Currently, no hidden weapons exist beyond those listed. Future updates or DLC may add more, according to the developer. Stay tuned to our Update History for news.
