MECCHA CHAMELEON Enemy Types – Full List & Guide

Overview of Enemy Types

In MECCHA CHAMELEON, the "enemies" are the Searchers — players tasked with finding disguised Chameleons. Each Searcher class has unique abilities and detection styles. Understanding their behavior is key to survival.

The Scanner

The Scanner relies on a pulse wave that reveals outlines of moving targets. They move slowly while scanning but can cover ground quickly when the ability is on cooldown.

  • Detection Method: Movement-based pulse scan
  • Weakness: Stationary or perfectly matched camouflaged players are invisible to the pulse
  • Tip: Hold still and blend into a complex pattern when you hear the scan sound

The Tracker

Trackers deploy scent markers on the map. If you walk through a marked zone, a visible trail follows you for several seconds.

  • Detection Method: Scent zones and trail tracking
  • Weakness: Trails fade quickly if you cross through water or painted-over areas
  • Tip: Repaint your body after crossing a scent zone to break the trail

The Stalker

Stalkers have a passive speed boost and can see heat signatures of recently painted players. They excel at chasing down runners.

  • Detection Method: Heat vision on fresh paint (lasts 3 seconds)
  • Weakness: Cannot see players who haven't painted recently
  • Tip: Avoid repainting while the Stalker is nearby; stay in an old camouflage pattern

The Observer

Observers use a zoom lens to scan the map from a distance. They can mark suspicious objects for other Searchers.

  • Detection Method: Long-range visual inspection
  • Weakness: Tunnel vision — easy to flank or move while they're zoomed in
  • Tip: Change your pose or location slowly when you suspect an Observer is watching

The Disruptor

Disruptors can temporarily disable your paint with a short-range blast, forcing you to show your default white color.

  • Detection Method: Ability-based reveal
  • Weakness: Short range and long cooldown (20 seconds)
  • Tip: Keep distance from any Searcher who approaches aggressively; use corners to break line of sight

General Survival Tips

Each Searcher type has a distinct sound cue. Learn to identify them by audio — it gives you a crucial head start.

  • Always have an escape route planned

  • Use the environment's natural patterns, not solid colors

  • Observe Searcher behavior for 5 seconds before moving

  • Learn the sound of each Searcher's ability

  • Practice staying still for 30+ seconds

  • Memorize safe zones with complex textures

  • Repaint only when the Searcher is distracted

  • Use decoy movements to mislead Trackers
