Accessing the Settings Menu

For most players, keeping Pixel Perfect Scaling enabled and setting the resolution to native will provide the best visual experience. If you encounter performance dips in areas with many interactive objects, try lowering the resolution first.

Audio Settings

The Audio settings let you control the game's soundscape. You can adjust the master volume, music, and sound effects independently. The game features a melancholic soundtrack that complements the theme of caring for beloved robots.

You will find sliders for Master Volume, Music Volume, and SFX Volume. There is also an option to toggle subtitles, which is useful for understanding the robots' final messages without relying solely on audio.

Controls and Key Bindings

The Controls tab displays the default key bindings and allows you to remap them. The game primarily uses mouse and keyboard, but controller support is also available. You can rebind actions like Interact, Move, and Open Inventory.

   Click on the action you wish to rebind, such as "Interact" or "Menu."

Accessibility Options

Robot Hospice includes several accessibility features to ensure all players can enjoy the experience. These options are found in a dedicated Accessibility tab. They are designed to help with visual, auditory, and motor impairments.

• Screen Shake: Reduce or disable screen shake effects for motion sensitivity.
• Colorblind Mode: Adjusts key UI elements for protanopia, deuteranopia, and tritanopia.
• Text Size: Increase the size of dialogue and UI text for better readability.
• Auto-Advance Dialogue: Automatically progresses through text, useful for those who cannot press buttons quickly.
• High Contrast Mode: Enhances the contrast of interactive objects and characters.

Enabling these options can significantly improve your comfort. For example, if you find the screen shake during certain robot farewells disorienting, setting it to "Reduced" or "Off" is recommended.

Saving Your Settings

All changes made in the settings menu are saved automatically when you exit the menu. There is no need to find a "Save" button. If you ever want to revert to the default settings, there is a "Reset to Defaults" button at the bottom of each tab.
